Newcastle Christmas Market vendors revealed: 70 'must-visit' festive stalls for 2026

Christmas shoppers can now start planning their visit to Newcastle's Christmas Market after the full list of 70 traders heading to the city has been unveiled.

Foodies, festive fanatics and Christmas shoppers can now start planning their visit to Newcastle's Christmas Market as the full list of traders heading to the city this winter has been revealed.

The market returns to the city centre on Thursday, November 19, and will run until Wednesday, December 23, with 70 traders- 10 more than last year.

This year’s line-up features nearly 90 per cent of traders from within 20 miles of Newcastle, with returning fan-favourite dessert stalls Crumbling and Twisted Cheesecake among those featured.

Ben Whitfeld, director of communications at NE1, said: "Adding some seasonal sparkle to an already vibrant festive retail offer in the heart of the city is what Newcastle’s Christmas Market is all about."

Whitfeld said the market would let visitors support North East businesses while enjoying Newcastle's festive atmosphere, making it a "must-visit festive destination across the UK and beyond."

He added: "We’ve been delighted by the response from local businesses keen to come back, and new businesses excited to take part for the first time.

"All traders have been selected for the quality and individuality of their offer, but also for their passion to play their part in creating something unique to Newcastle and the North East."

Visitors can expect a mix of artists, jewellers, and gift retailers, alongside food vendors serving seasonal treats.

The market will again span Grainger Street, Grey Street and Grey’s Monument, as well as Old Eldon Square and Nelson Street, which were added last year.

Jemma Robson of Crumbling, Newcastle Christmas Market Trader of the Year in 2025, said the bakery was delighted to return and "can't wait to get started."

Robson said: "We are so happy to be coming back to Newcastle’s Christmas Market this year.

"Last year was our first time and, being a small local business, I really didn’t know what to expect.

"The support we received was honestly so lovely.

"I'm incredibly grateful to everyone who came along and bought a crumble from us."

"We’re really looking forward to seeing some familiar faces, meeting lots of new ones and just being part of the Christmas atmosphere in Newcastle again," she added.

The wider Christmas Village will feature a 22-metre Ferris wheel in Old Eldon Square, alongside Santa Stories, Mrs Claus’ Bakery, a vintage carousel and outdoor cinema screenings.

Powder Butterfly, last year’s Best Newcomer winner, is also returning.

Returning visitors will see 10 new businesses join the 2026 line-up, including Alpine Cheese, with an après-ski-style raclette stall, and Newcastle-based OROVA, which specialises in personalised leather accessories.

The Back Page will also have a stall, selling football memorabilia and Geordie-themed gifts, while Fat Cow Skincare from Northumberland will showcase its beef-tallow-based skincare products.

Fawdon & West Gosforth Councillor Rob Austin, Newcastle City Council’s cabinet member for culture, communities and youth services, said: "Our Christmas Market is a much-loved part of what makes Newcastle special at this time of year.

"By working closely with NE1 to showcase local businesses, makers and producers, we’re creating a festive experience with a real local identity, while helping businesses thrive and encouraging people to explore everything our city has to offer.

"It’s about bringing people together, supporting our local economy and creating Christmas magic that feels uniquely Newcastle."

Last year's market was met with widespread praise for its "undeniable charm" and diverse range of businesses. This year seems set to similarly impress locals and tourists looking for somewhere to indulge this winter.

The market will run from 10am to 8pm from Monday to Saturday, and from 10am to 5pm on Sundays.

A full list of traders and locations is available on the market's website.
