Hundreds of homes are being built near Bishop Auckland as the developer releases the final properties in the scheme’s first phase.

Avant Homes North East has released the final homes for sale at its £43.6 million Westward Green scheme in Willington, including two-, three-, four- and five-bedroom terraces, semi-detached and detached properties.

All the homes are energy efficient, with typically an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating of B or above.

Dan Hardcastle, sales and marketing director at Avant Homes North East, said: "The release of these new homes at Westward Green marks the final opportunity for buyers to purchase within the first phase of the development.

"Willington offers a great mix of local amenities and convenient access to Durham, making it a popular location for families, as well as buyers looking to take their first step on the property ladder.

"We look forward to welcoming more residents to Westward Green’s growing community, and encourage anyone interested to speak to our sales team about the remaining homes and the incentives available to help them move."

Prices start at £155,000 for a two-bedroom mid-terrace Askern and rise to £184,000 for a three-bedroom semi-detached Ripon.

Buyers can view the three-bedroom detached Leyburn showhome to see the properties’ design and energy efficiency.

Selected plots come with incentives including a five per cent deposit contribution and the My Move Made Easy scheme, which helps buyers sell their current home.

The three-bedroom Ripon is designed for modern family life.

It has a spacious living room and an open-plan kitchen-diner with integrated appliances and French doors leading to the rear garden.

A downstairs WC and storage cupboards round off the ground floor.

Upstairs, the main bedroom has an en-suite shower room, while two single bedrooms share the family bathroom.
