Ex-Leeds police officer charged with child sex offences

An ex-police officer has been charged with child sex offences.

Former West Yorkshire Police Leeds district cop Zachary Haile, 27, has been charged with three counts of possessing indecent photographs. He has also been charged with engaging in sexual communication with a child. He is due to face magistrates on Tuesday, October 20.

A police spokesperson said: "The charges relate to matters which occurred in 2022. Haile was off duty at the time of the offences. He is due to appear before Leeds magistrates on Tuesday, October 20."
