Visitors to Stirling Distillery will be able to fill and label their own bottle of whisky by hand through a new interactive experience launching this week.
The distillery, based on Castlehill beneath Stirling Castle, will introduce the fill-your-own experience at its Old Smiddy site on Wednesday, October 14.

Guests will be able to fill a 50cl bottle of blended whisky, label it with their name and take it home for £45. Each bottle will also carry the date and bottle number, with details recorded in the distillery’s ledger.
The first whisky available through the experience is the Chairman’s Blend, a one-off 50-litre blend created by co-founder Cameron McCann. Once the batch has been used, it will be replaced by a different whisky.
The experience adds to the distillery’s visitor offering, which has helped establish the Old Smiddy as one of Stirling’s popular attractions since it opened in 2019.
Stirling Distillery has twice been named Stirling Visitor Attraction of the Year, most recently at the 2025 Stirling Business Awards. It also holds a VisitScotland four-star rating and an AA Gold Award, and is currently ranked second on Tripadvisor’s list of things to do in Stirling.
The launch comes as the distillery continues to revive the city’s whisky-making heritage. In 2024, it resumed whisky production in Stirling after a 172-year hiatus.
Head distiller Hugo McCann won Best Scottish New Make Whisky at the 2025 World Whiskies Awards, while the distillery’s first single malt, Cask One, is scheduled for release in 2027.
Founded by June and Cameron McCann, Stirling Distillery describes itself as Scotland’s smallest whisky distillery and welcomes around 20,000 visitors annually.
The Old Smiddy building dates back to 1888 and has previously served as a blacksmith’s forge, church and temperance hall.

Cameron McCann, co-founder of Stirling Distillery, said: "We are always looking at ways to evolve the visitor experience at the distillery, and giving guests the opportunity to bottle their own liquid felt like a great addition to our award-winning offering.
"There is something pretty special about walking away with a bottle you filled yourself."
