Raworths wins Private Client Team of the Year at Yorkshire Legal Awards

Harrogate law firm Raworths has won Private Client Team of the Year at the Yorkshire Legal Awards 2026, recognising the work of its Trusts, Wills and Estates team.

The awards took place at Leeds’ New Dock Hall on Thursday, 8 October 2026, with winners selected by an independent panel of judges from across the Yorkshire legal community.

The judges praised Raworths for its expertise in supporting clients through complex personal matters, highlighting its commitment to client care and contribution to the wider community.

Raworths’ 24-strong Trusts, Wills and Estates team is one of the largest private client teams in Yorkshire. The team has also retained top-tier rankings in the Legal 500 and a Band 1 ranking in the Chambers High Net Worth Guide 2026 for the tenth consecutive year.

Rachel Tunnicliffe, Senior Partner and Head of Private Client Services at Raworths, said:

We’re incredibly proud to see our Private Client team recognised at the Yorkshire Legal Awards. This reflects the expertise, commitment and collaborative spirit of our whole team, and the exceptional service they provide to businesses, families and individuals across the region and beyond.

She added that the award was a testament to the firm’s culture of collaboration and its work supporting clients through different stages of their personal and professional lives.

Raworths was also shortlisted for Law Firm of the Year in the medium-sized firm category. Managing Partner Simon Morris was nominated for Managing Partner of the Year, marking his 25th year at the firm and four years leading it. Tunnicliffe was also nominated for Yorkshire Lawyer of the Year.

Luke Corcoran, chair of the judging panel, said the awards showcased the talent, dedication and service of Yorkshire’s legal profession, with shortlisted firms and individuals representing the strength and ambition of the region’s legal sector.

The awards come as Raworths continues to expand its commercial and private client work across the region and nationally. The firm employs more than 70 people and has been based in Harrogate for nearly 140 years.

It has also supported Harrogate’s cultural scene, acting as headline sponsor of the Raworths Harrogate Literature Festival since 2012. This year, the firm became title sponsor of Salon North, a series organised by Harrogate International Festivals featuring speakers from the arts, sciences and psychology.

Raworths provides commercial and private client legal services to businesses, families and individuals.
