A new wellbeing experience in York is offering an alternative way to unwind at the end of the week.
Thread & Flow, launched in early October, combines guided meditation, slow stitching, and optional gentle massage.
Co-created by York textile artist Natalie Needham and massage therapist Sarah Blackledge, the event is designed to help people slow down, breathe, and create in a relaxed environment.
Ms Needham said: "Thread & Flow grew from that same belief – that creating something doesn’t have to be about being 'good' at art.
"It can simply be about the process, being present in the moment, and giving yourself permission to slow down."
The sessions include a hand-dyed piece of silk with an original design printed on it.
Participants are encouraged to enjoy the meditative act of stitching rather than focus on creating a perfect piece.
Ms Blackledge said: "We wanted Thread & Flow to feel like a real pause from everyday life.
"The combination of meditation, slow stitching and gentle massage creates lots of different ways to relax, and people can choose what feels right for them."
Thread & Flow takes place at Rebalance Studios in York on November 6 and December 4, from 7.30pm to 9.30pm.
