Emergency services were called to a serious collision on the A1(M) last night.
National Highways Yorkshire first reported the crash at 8.47pm.
It was between junction 44, the Bramham Interchange connecting with the A64 for York, and junction 45, the Grange Moor Interchange.
Traffic was held while emergency services dealt with the incident. At one point there was two miles of tailbacks.
By 9.16pm, one lane had reopened.
The A1(M) fully reopened at 2.05am. At this point we have no details of any casualties.
