A Sedgefield dad who died when his car flipped in a late-night crash on the A1(M) has been named.
Keith Royal, 41, was killed after his Audi hit a barrier and overturned on the A1(M) northbound between Bowburn and Carrville, shortly after 11.40pm on Saturday (October 10).
Despite the efforts of medics, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

His family have today (Monday, October 12) released a photograph of Mr Royal who was a father, brother, husband and son and "friend to many".
The road was closed overnight and into Sunday morning as crash investigators worked at the scene.

Police are now appealing for witnesses as an investigation into the crash continues.
They are especially keen to hear from anyone with dashcam footage of the Audi shortly before the crash.
Anyone with information should contact Durham Constabulary on 101, quoting incident number 538 from October 10.
