Amanda Owen's daughter Nancy is revealing a different side of life at Ravenseat as she prepares for a ballet exam.
The youngest of the Yorkshire Shepherdess's nine children is usually seen helping with animals and working alongside her siblings on the family's remote Swaledale farm.
But the latest series of Our Farm Next Door: Amanda, Clive and Kids will show Nancy pursuing an interest away from the everyday demands of farming.
Nancy is preparing for a ballet exam, rehearsing at a village hall.
It offers another glimpse of the children from Our Yorkshire Farm developing interests and ambitions of their own.
Nancy's preparations feature in the fourth series of Our Farm Next Door, which returned to More4 earlier this month.
While much of the programme follows the Owens' restoration of Anty John's farmhouse, it also continues to document everyday life at Ravenseat.
For Nancy, that means preparing for her ballet exam.
Ballet contrasts with the world in which she has grown up.
Ravenseat lies in remote Upper Swaledale, where the family has spent years working with sheep, cattle, horses and other animals in often difficult weather conditions.
Viewers of Our Yorkshire Farm watched Nancy and her siblings grow up amid the demands of rural life.
But as the children grow older, their individual interests are taking centre stage.
Ballet gives Nancy a skill beyond farm work, although there is no suggestion she plans to give up farming.
Amanda Owen is proud of her children's different interests
Amanda recently spoke about the different paths her nine children are taking as they grow older.
At an Our Farm Next Door: A Behind-the-Scenes Celebration event at Everyman Northallerton on September 30, she said some children were interested in university, some were starting businesses and others wanted to continue farming.
Amanda and Clive announced their separation in 2022 but have continued working together and raising their nine children.
The family's changing circumstances have also complicated plans for Anty John's future.
Amanda revealed that belongings had been moved into the restored farmhouse, but no one had decided who would live there.
She said the children's different ambitions made it hard to know where they would eventually settle.
Nancy's ballet preparations offer a revealing glimpse of that growing independence.
