Here are some of the people locked up at Teesside Crown Court last week.
They include violent men and a woman for breaching a court order.
Group attack
Two thugs have been put behind bars after a fight near a Stockton social club left a man with a serious head injury.
Kane Walker and Christopher Watson clashed with a group that included a mother, her daughter and their partners before fleeing and hiding in a nearby house loft.
The pair were arrested after Walker fell through the ceiling, Teesside Crown Court heard.

Prosecutor Zaiban Alam said both men turned on police, with Walker spitting in an officer’s face and kicking officers in the chest.
She said most of the violence was captured on CCTV, but it was difficult to see exactly what each defendant did.
“There was a struggle in which the victim was punched in the face and fell to the floor, unresponsive,” she said.
Ms Alam said the victim fractured his skull when he fell and hit his head on the pavement.
Neighbours near Roseworth Social Club in Stockton came out to intervene before the defendants and another man ran away.
Walker, 22, of Rosthwaite Avenue, Stockton, admitted affray and two counts of assaulting an emergency worker after his arrest on November 20, 2022.
Watson, 32, of Miers Avenue, Hartlepool, admitted affray for his role in the disturbance.
Watson was jailed for 25 months and Walker for 24 months.
Domestic abuse
A woman has been jailed for 12 weeks for breaching a domestic abuse protection order (DAPO).
Danielle Parkes was arrested when police were called to a disturbance at a block of flats in Middlesbrough.
Parkes, 40, was issued with the six-month DAPO in January to protect her brother, Teesside Crown Court heard.

Prosecutor Shaun Dryden said: "The police received a call from a security guard that there was a disturbance at the flat.
"When the police got there, she told them that she shouldn't have been there and held her hands up and said - 'I know I'm not allowed there'."
Judge Richard Bennett jailed Parkes for 12 weeks but ordered her immediate release because she had already spent that time in custody.

Coxall, of Peirson Street, Redcar, threw a brick through the windscreen, leaving a large crack as the driver sat at the wheel.
Still wearing the balaclava, he rode away along the pavement towards Longlands Road and Cargo Fleet Road.
He received a further four-week sentence for assaulting an emergency worker on Monday, June 15.

He approached a woman at about 7.40am on July 12 at McDonald’s in Middlesbrough Leisure Park.
The woman was heading to the boot of her Fiat 500 when Heppenstall forcibly grabbed her keys. She let go in fear, and he drove away.
He was charged with robbery, stealing a motor vehicle, driving without the correct licence, driving without insurance and three counts of assaulting an emergency worker.
Revenge attack
An alcoholic who called his neighbour a ‘grass’ before smashing her window has been jailed.
Lee Green targeted the woman after she gave police a statement about an unrelated public order offence, a judge heard.

The 44-year-old shouted ‘f****** grasses’ and hurled rocks at the woman’s home in the early hours.
Prosecutor Saba Shan said the woman looked out of her bedroom window after hearing it smash and saw Green sitting on a bike beyond her hedge.
He cycled away, then returned shortly afterwards and threw more rocks at the woman’s Middlesbrough home, Teesside Crown Court heard.
The woman said in a victim impact statement that she struggles to sleep and fears Green has returned whenever she hears a noise outside.
