Harrogate's legendary Bottom of the Bottle rock night is to return this week with landmark event

A legendary Harrogate DJ is bringing back a much-loved rock night this week which promises to be “authentically like the old days”

Taking place at The Bilton Club on Friday, October 16 at 7pm prompt, DJ Trev says he can’t wait for Bottom of the Bottle’s 25th Anniversary Party.

Harrogate's iconic Bottom of the Bottle rock music night is back this week at The Bilton Club.

Launched by the legendary Harrogate DJ in 2001, Bottom of the Bottle arrived with a bang, showing that there was more to the town and its people than flower beds and tea rooms.

Offering Metal, Nu-Metal, Punk, Pop-Punk, Emo, Screamo and more, along with Charm alt-indie gigs, North Yorkshire Hardcore punk events and Fire DJ nights, DJ Trev’s Bottom of the Bottle nights were the meeting place for a generation of music fans in the days when Harrogate boasted a thriving underground rock scene..

Taking place at The Bilton Club on Friday, October 16, although it’s now a quarter of a century since the very first Bottom of the Bottle, founder DJ Trev is determined to recreate the original spirit - and some of the original volume.

And he has uncovered some vintage memorabilia to give away to early arrivals to get the party going quickly.

"We want the party to start full on at 7pm so we’re hoping people will turn up early,” said DJ Trev.

“It may be finishing at midnight but I will be putting in a full shift to make it authentically like the old days.

"It won't just be a sonic onslaught, the venue will be totally suited to the times with quieter - and louder - areas.”

The first 10 ticket holders to turn up at Bottom of the Bottle at the Bilton Club will get a free set of old Bottom of the Bottle badges each.

The first 25 people will also get a further little exclusive freebie plus the first 50 people will get a vodka jello shot.
