Jason Maxwell, Harrogate BID CEO, said: "It's fantastic to welcome Scamp & Dude to Harrogate, particularly as the brand has chosen our town for its first permanent store in the North.

"James Street is a key part of Harrogate's shopping offering, and seeing a recognised British brand invest in such a prominent location is really encouraging.

"Scamp & Dude brings something different to the town centre, not just through its clothing collections, but also through its community-focused approach and charitable work.

"We're delighted to see the business opening its doors and look forward to welcoming its customers to Harrogate."

Scamp & Dude was founded in 2016 by Jo Tutchener Sharp OBE.

The brand is known for its colourful womenswear and charitable initiatives.

It has donated more than £4.4 million in cash and products through its programmes.

Its Super Scarf Mission has delivered more than 93,000 scarves to women starting chemotherapy.

The brand has also donated over 10,000 Superhero Sleep Buddies to children who are seriously ill or have lost a parent.

The Harrogate store will feature the brand’s signature Bolt Room.

This private fitting area can be booked in advance and offers a shopping experience with friends, complete with complimentary refreshments.

Scamp & Dude also plans to host a year-round programme of events and community activities.

The new store is located opposite Harrogate railway station.

It aims to attract both local shoppers and visitors to the town.

Mr Maxwell said: "We're delighted to see the business opening its doors and look forward to welcoming its customers to Harrogate."

The arrival of Scamp & Dude adds to Harrogate’s mix of independent businesses and established retail names.

It further strengthens the town centre’s reputation as a shopping destination.
