A Bradford bakery has attracted customers from across the UK through its growing online presence - drawing them in with mouthwatering posts of sourdough, pastries, and cakes,

House of Bread, based on Bradford Road in Frizinghall, is run by five siblings who have built a large following on multiple social media platforms, including TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook.

Turning online followers into loyal customers

Sara Laszkowska, one of the siblings who manages the business and its social media accounts, said: "Social media has been brilliant for us, mostly because of how many new people it's brought through the door.

"We've been going almost six years and we still get folk living ten minutes down the road who've only just realised there's a bakery here making this stuff from scratch every day.

"Barely a day goes by without someone saying 'this is my first time in, I saw you on Instagram and the bakes looked amazing so I had to come and try them.'

"Then we watch those same faces turn into regulars, and that's the bit we love.

"They came because of a video, but they stayed because of how much they loved our bakes.

"That's the best review you can get, really."

House of Bread has attracted more than 6,000 followers on TikTok, where its videos have reached more than one million views in total.

Visitors travelling from Aberdeen

She said: "We had a family pop in recently who'd driven from Aberdeen after seeing us online, which is honestly mind blowing for a little bakery in Bradford.

"We've got regulars coming from Leeds, Manchester, Skipton and all over."

Beyond promoting their products, House of Bread uses social media to highlight the craftsmanship behind their bakes.

Ms Laszkowska said: "Whether it’s our crispy chill oil focaccia, brown sugar choc chip sea salt cookie or 11 kinds of sourdough, all of it is made by hand, and a lot of that work goes unseen when things are made from scratch every single day.

"We're not a faceless brand, there are real people behind every single thing on our shelves and social media lets us show that."
