A North East road is set to close for up to two weeks, according to a public notice.

The closure on Cowpen Bewley Road, Billingham, will begin on Monday, October 19 for roadworks, Stockton Council has confirmed.

It will stretch from around 930 metres south of Macklin Avenue junction for approximately 670 metres in a southerly direction.

The works are expected to last until Monday, November 2, and will affect all traffic, including emergency vehicles, which will not be granted access.

The council says a diversion route will be in place and clearly signposted for drivers to follow.
