A “brilliant” farm shop in the North East has been named one of the best for pumpkin picking for 2026.

Experts at OutdoorToys have analysed pumpkin patches across the UK to create a list of the top 10 pumpkin patches to visit this year.

Each pumpkin patch was analysed based on the number of Instagram posts made about them, the number of annual UK searches, and how much they cost.

Brocksbushes Farm Shop made it onto the list after receiving a score of 6.62 out of 10.

What is Brocksbushes Farm Shop like?

At Brocksbushes Farm Shop, in Northumberland, you can find over 155,000 different pumpkins of a range of shapes, sizes, and colours to suit your home.

You can either take your pumpkins home to carve or use the pumpkin carving tent in the field, with carving kits available to buy to avoid getting messy at home.

See if you can find the golden sticker pumpkins in the patch to win a prize, from seasonal treats to free pumpkins.

As well as picking out the perfect pumpkins, there are loads of photograph opportunities from the pumpkin house to the new monster pumpkin castle.

For children, there are lots of characters walking around the field to talk to and carnival rides to enjoy.

Children can also get some Halloween-themed face painting done and toast some marshmallows.

After searching for pumpkins, you might need something to fuel you, with there being plenty of food vendors to choose from, including wood-fired pizzas, fried chicken, churros and hot drinks.

The pumpkin patch is open on the weekends and every day from October 16 to October 31.

Tickets cost £3.50 for both adults and children and can be booked on the Brocksbushes Farm Shop website.

On how to make the day perfect, Alex McMullan, Product Designer at OutdoorToys, says: “Before you book, check what the ticket includes and whether pumpkins, parking or activities cost extra.

"Look at the route from the car park, toilets, accessibility and dog policy too, especially if you’re taking a buggy.

"Popular October weekends can sell out, so secure your date early."

What do reviews say about Brocksbushes Farm Shop?

Brocksbushes Farm Shop has over 600 reviews on Tripadvisor, with many people praising the pumpkin picking experience.

One person said: “Came for the pumpkin picking which was fab, so many pumpkins, so many picture opportunities, the place is so organised, also a food village with food vendors which did wood-fired pizzas, churros, a one cooking chicken etc then you could get the café things in there too and toast marshmallows on the fire pit, also a cocktail van and rides for the kids, the farm shop is big but was very crowded and I don’t think the café is brilliant apparently but the pumpkin picking was fantastic!

“Would consider doing this again next year, book early - two weekends before Halloween are already sold out!”
