Residents are being invited to give their old wellington boots a new lease of life as part of a community gardening project in Middlesbrough.
The scheme, led by Tees Valley Wildlife Trust in partnership with Middlesbrough Council, aims to collect unwanted wellies to transform into colourful planters for the Thorntree Library and Hub Community Garden in Middlesbrough.
The boots will be filled with spring bulbs and winter pansies to brighten the space and create a cheerful display for the community.
The wellies will be decorated and planted up during a Community Garden Party at Thorntree Library and Hub on October 29 from 2pm to 4pm.
