The officers’ deaths sparked an outpouring of grief across Teesside and County Durham, with thousands attending memorials and people across the country raising money for their families.
More than £1.2m has been raised for the officers' families through a GoFundMe set up by Cleveland Police, with donations being split equally.
Hundreds of people lined the streets of Hartlepool and Redcar for the funerals of PC Blades and PC Clough in early September, paying their respects as the officers were laid to rest.
Middlesbrough FC confirmed on Thursday (October 8), that all proceeds from Sunday’s Legacy Game live stream would go directly to the officers’ families.
