The Solway coast has long drawn visitors looking for sea air and wide horizons, but at Stanwix Park Holiday Centre the evening atmosphere brings an entirely different kind of energy.
The holiday centre in Cumbria has developed a reputation as a vibrant hub for live performances, combining regular family cabaret with large-scale themed music breaks.
Much of the park's nightlife centres on the Sunset Inn, Cumbria's number one entertainment venue. The home of everything from vocalists and comedy acts to interactive game nights.
Among the park's biggest draws are its adults only signature themed breaks, where music enthusiasts travel from across the country to spend entire weekends celebrating iconic decades of pop and rock.
Planning is already underway for future events, with high anticipation building around the 2027 retro weekend, designed to bring classic anthems, tribute acts, and vintage fancy dress to the Cumbrian shoreline.
The weekend promises a nostalgic journey through memorable decades, pairing popular soundtrack hits with an enthusiastic crowd of retro fans.
These multi-day events turn the holiday park into a focused festival space where guests can hear live bands, socialise with fellow fans, and stay directly on site throughout the festivities.
The venue's self-contained layout means that concertgoers do not have to worry about late-night travel or external bookings after the final encore.
Guests staying for entertainment weekends can choose from modern caravan holiday homes, self-catering apartments, camping pods, and fully serviced touring pitches outlined across the park's accommodation options.
Live performances begin Friday evening and continue Saturday & Sunday from 3pm with a variety of back-to-back live acts held together by retro disco! During downtime use of the five star leisure centre is included in your weekend stay. Relax in the indoor swimming pool, Jacuzzi, Sauna & Steam Room.
The site has earned formal accolades over the years, including previous recognition as AA Holiday Centre of the Year, underscoring the consistency of its hospitality and leisure provision.
The combination of coastal scenery, lively stages, and community warmth gives the holiday park a character that sets it apart from more conventional seaside stays.
Stanwix Park continues to prove that Cumbria's coastal fringe can deliver high-spirited musical gatherings alongside peaceful Solway walks.
