Judges also praised the venue’s atmosphere, which combines the character of a working brewery with the energy of a modern social space. Despite its large scale, the Taproom and Beer Hall has retained a welcoming and inclusive feel, thanks in no small part to its knowledgeable and passionate team.
Community engagement is another key part of the venue’s success. Through collaborations, special events, brewery experiences and partnerships with local food vendors and businesses, it has become far more than simply a place to enjoy a drink. It has developed into a hub for York’s wider food and drink culture, playing an important role in showcasing the city’s thriving independent hospitality sector.
