York City hope to continue record-breaking run as they host Northampton Town

York City FC return to action tomorrow (Saturday) as they host Northampton Town at the LNER Community Stadium. Kick-off is at 3pm.

The Minstermen currently hold the longest home winning run in the top four divisions, with 13 consecutive victories. A win tomorrow would equal a club record.

Northampton Town, recently taken over by Brazilian investment group Sports Alpha Capital, sit 22nd in League Two. They have won just once this season following relegation from League One.

The last meeting between the two sides was in 2015, when Northampton won 2-1 at Bootham Crescent.

Tickets for tomorrow’s match are sold out. Supporters are advised not to travel without a valid ticket.

A free kickabout session for children aged 7-13 will take place outside the stadium between 1pm and 2pm. Foundation match tickets can also be collected from the cages from 1pm.

Graham Carr, a former Northampton and York City player, will be the matchday guest. He will speak in the hospitality lounges before a half-time interview.

Eight-year-old Bohdi will also feature at half-time as part of his 100-mile challenge, running at 100 football clubs this year to raise funds for charity.

A Y22 shuttle bus service will run from Stonebow in York city centre to the stadium from two hours before kick-off.
