Ed Sheeran has reshuffled his tour lineup with new support acts following the departure of several artists.
The changes come after the removal of US rapper Macklemore from Sheeran’s Loop Tour.
Shortly afterwards, a range of other supporting acts also pulled out of the remaining dates.
Among those who stepped down were Irish singer Aaron Rowe, Danish artist Lukas Graham, Sheeran’s backing band Beoga, and musician Finneas.
Isaac Slade, former frontman of The Fray, has since joined the tour as a support act.
He will open for Sheeran, who was born in Halifax, in Indianapolis on October 10, Charlotte on October 17, Arlington on October 24, and Tampa on November 7.
Mr Slade said: "See you out there."
American Idol contestant Brooks Rosser is also set to perform in Indianapolis on October 10.
Mr Rosser said: "My first show since American Idol, and it’s at Lucas Oil Stadium opening for @teddysphotos. I’m beyond excited and grateful. See you Saturday!"
No supporting acts have been announced for Sheeran’s remaining tour dates in Chile, Paraguay, Argentina, Brazil, and Mexico.
The shake-up follows controversy after comments made by Macklemore regarding the Israel-Gaza conflict.
During a performance in September, he expressed solidarity with people in Gaza and the West Bank, prompting a petition for his removal from the tour.
Among those who raised concerns was Robert Kraft, whose Kraft Group owns Gillette Stadium in Massachusetts, who was among those who contacted the British singer saying he would not be able to play the venue unless Macklemore was removed from the tour.
Sheeran later clarified that the decision to remove Macklemore was made by the tour promoter.
Macklemore has since announced a European tour named Free Palestine, which he said "sold out immediately."
The tour begins at Dublin’s 3Arena on October 26 and concludes at London’s Wembley Arena on October 30.
Proceeds from the shows will support organisations providing medical care, humanitarian assistance, education, community support and advocacy for Palestinians.
