Three men have been arrested as part of an investigation into non-recent child sexual abuse in Bradford.

The men, aged 37, 40, and 41, were detained following allegations of abuse dating back to the late 2000s.

The arrests relate to a woman’s report of sexual abuse when she was 12 years old.

Temporary Detective Chief Inspector Chantel Markham of Bradford District Police said: "Child sexual abuse and exploitation is an abhorrent crime and these arrests form part of our commitment to bring people responsible for committing these offences no matter how long ago to justice.

"We would urge anyone who has been a victim of sexual abuse, whether recent or historic, to report it to the police.

"Please be assured that you will be listened to, taken seriously and supported by professionals with experience of dealing with these kinds of offences."

All three men have been bailed pending further enquiries.
