Harrogate Mayor cuts ribbon at completion of school's exciting new project
The Mayor has cut the ribbon to mark the completion of a Harrogate school's exciting project devoted to children’s literacy
The unveiling of Starbeck Primary Academy newly-refurbished school library was a big moment for teachers and pupils and will support literacy and learning for years to come.

The opening ceremony was attended by civic dignatories, including Harrogate Town Council Mayor Coun Viv Poskitt and former Mayor Coun Chris Aldred.
“The new-look school library will be used to build community links between home and school and provide the children with an inspiring place to read,” said the Harrogate Mayor.
"It's a fantastic area and well done to all who facilitated this.
"I even had the children read to me including my favourite “girls can do anything “."

As well as reading and learning, the aim of the impressively refurbished school library is also to reach out to the wider community.
Kris Starkey, English Leader/Senior Leader at Starbeck Primary Academy said: "The new library will not only benefit our pupils but will also strengthen links with the wider Starbeck community through future reading events, family activities, and community partnerships.”
