A man who supplied heroin in a North Yorkshire town has been jailed for seven years.

Oliver Hargreaves also supplied crack cocaine in Tadcaster before he was caught during an early-morning raid, North Yorkshire Police said.

The force said it worked with West Yorkshire Police to catch Hargreaves, 24, during the raid at a property in the Gipton area of Leeds in May.

Hargreaves “even threw his mobile phone out of a window in an attempt to distance himself from the evidence against him”, a police spokesperson said.

They said Hargreaves, of no fixed address, was arrested, interviewed and charged with being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine and heroin between December 2025 and April 2026, along with possession of cannabis.

Hargreaves pleaded guilty to the offences and was jailed for seven years at York Crown Court on Tuesday (October 6).

North Yorkshire Police said it will “work relentlessly with other police forces to investigate and disrupt those involved in the supply of illegal drugs in our area”.
