A HOUSE in a coastal Yorkshire town has been closed by the courts following reports of antisocial behaviour and suspected drug activity.
The house in Rudding Drive, Bridlington, has been given a closure order at Beverley Magistrates’ Court yesterday (October 7).
It was issued after an application by East Riding of Yorkshire Council and will remain in place until Thursday, January 7.

The order prohibits entry to anyone except council officers, police, emergency services, or utility providers - with anyone else found entering the property could face a fine, imprisonment, or both.
The court heard that a prolonged investigation uncovered "intimidating behaviour, drug use, and the harbouring of wanted individuals at the address".
There were also reports of a constant stream of visitors at all hours, loud noise, and violent incidents - often when the tenant was not present
A spokesperson for the council said: "This included reports of loud music, shouting and doors being slammed at all hours of the day and night, arguments and violence.
"Individuals known to the police to be involved in drug dealing were also known to be at the property, including those who have been subject to closure orders elsewhere in Bridlington.
"In addition, the poor state of the garden, including dog faeces and rubbish, has attracted noxious smells, maggots and rats to the property."
They added that neighbours said the ongoing issues had caused them 'distress and anxiety for a considerable time' and that most were unwilling to be named due to fear of reprisals.
The closure order was served by the council’s antisocial behaviour team on Wednesday, July 7, with teams stating that 'action was taken to protect nearby residents and restore their quality of life'.
Councillor Lyn Healing, cabinet member for communities and public protection at East Riding of Yorkshire Council, said: "We are dedicated to ensuring that the East Riding remains a good place to live and tackle antisocial behaviour wherever it occurs.
"We encourage concerned residents to report antisocial behaviour so that necessary steps can be taken."
