A raffle has helped give pupils an inspiring introduction to global art and culture.
Clarendon Fine Art in York has helped support Bilbrough Primary School’s Year 5 and Year 6 pupils in visiting the Making Waves: Japanese Art Exhibition at York Art Gallery.
Katy Foxcroft, gallery manager at Clarendon Fine Art, said: "When I heard that the school was struggling to secure the funding needed for the exhibition visit, I immediately wanted to help make it happen.
"Art and the creative world have the power to inspire, educate and broaden horizons.
"I wanted to help remove barriers that might prevent children from experiencing exceptional artwork first-hand."
A spokesperson for Bilbrough Primary School said the experience allowed pupils to engage with art and culture outside the classroom, supporting their learning in history, creativity and global cultures.
Clarendon Fine Art also encouraged families to visit the gallery during the school holidays to experience art together.
The gallery regularly hosts Meet the Artist events, where visitors can hear directly from internationally acclaimed artists about their inspiration and creative journeys.
A free event will take place on Friday, October 9, from 6pm to 8pm at Clarendon Fine Art in Davygate, featuring abstract artist Simon Kenny.
