Firefighters intervened after a water leak damaged a York flat early today (Thursday).
Acomb firefighters responded to a call of water coming through the ceiling of the flat on Huntington Road at12.43am.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “This was a water leak from the first floor flat into the ground floor flat, following works to the property, causing water damage to the electrics and hallway.
“Crews isolated water and electrics and left the incident with the homeowner, awaiting arrival of an emergency plumber and electrician.”
