A couple who poured their hearts and souls into a Bradford district café have announced its closure.

Willow Bridge Café on Beckfoot Lane, Bingley, has shut less than a year after opening.

Owners Mark and Kim Fisk announced the café’s closure on Facebook.

It had opened in early November 2025.

Couple say goodbye

They said: “Well, the time has finally come… Willow Bridge Cafe is officially closed.

“As many of you know, this little cafe has been our world over the past year.

“We’ve poured our hearts and souls into it and are so incredibly proud of everything we’ve achieved along the way.

“But more than anything, it’s the people we’ve met, the friendships we’ve made and the endless laughs we’ve shared that we’ll remember the most.

“We truly hope you’ve enjoyed the ride with us as much as we have, and we hope the next owners continue to build on the foundations we’ve worked so hard to create, so this lovely little cafe can continue to be a part of the community for many years to come.

“We are genuinely grateful to each and every one of you for your support and kindness, and for making Willow Bridge Cafe what it became.

“Here’s to our next chapter!”

Cafe opened less than a year ago

Only last year, the Fisks had achieved their dream of opening a café in the Bradford district.

Speaking to the Telegraph & Argus in November 2025, they said at the time: "We always wanted to open a food business together - and when we saw the building, which used to be a takeaway, we jumped at the chance to take it on and transform it into Willow Bridge Café.

They refurbished the space to fit eight seats and three tables.

Early returns at the café were good, as Kim told the T&A: "It's been a real hit with the locals and walkers looking to stop off somewhere for good food and drink."

She also said being dog friendly was another “bonus” for many of their customers.

Kim told the T&A that Willow Bridge Café’s atmosphere made it “feel like a home from home, with its cute lighting and colour scheme”.

"We wanted to create a cosy feel and we feel we've achieved just that,” she added.

She also said: "We're also in a great setting, next to the river and beautiful Myrtle Park."

The couple said they were proud to be part of “such a lovely community”.
