A community group has paid tribute to its oldest active member, who has died aged 90.

Ms Jiggins was a member of the Keighley Lions Club for 18 years and served as president six times.

Members described her as one of its most active volunteers.

She frequently collected spectacles for the Lions’ recycling scheme and served as welfare officer.

She also regularly helped at club events.

Lion President Robert Payne said: "The loss of Lion Hazel has devastated us as a club."

"She was one of the kindest, loveliest and most wonderful people you could meet.

"We feel privileged to have known her and can't celebrate her long, public service enough."

During her time with Keighley Lions, Ms Jiggins was known for supporting new members and welcoming them with hugs and celebrations.

She also supported the club’s Christmas Grottos, sitting with children as they drew and coloured pictures.

Members said she used her sewing skills to make handmade items and elf costumes for the festive period.

Vice President Luke Maunsell said: "Our beloved Hazel was always extremely positive, caring with a determined mindset and personality."

"She was courageous as she was caring - serving as a peer, a mother figure and a grandmother figure to us all."

Second Vice President Gail Asquith added: "Everyone in our club loved Hazel immensely and it will never be the same without her."

"Her commitment to our community was incredible and we will never forget her."
