Pickering Rotary Club has donated specialised chairs to support patient care.
The new chairs were given to the Ryedale Leg Club to improve comfort for patients while nursing staff dress leg wounds.
Pat Woodall, chair of the community service committee at Pickering Rotary Club, said: "The Pickering Rotary Club is happy to be able to support the Leg Club, which serves the community so well by not only offering medical care but also by doing so in a relaxed atmosphere, which is so important to many patients."
The Ryedale Leg Club, launched in November 2025, takes routine leg care out of clinical settings and into a social, community environment focused on patients’ wider wellbeing.
Julie Lawrence, operational lead at the club, said: "The support of the Rotary Club to purchase the specialised chairs is wonderful and will make a great difference for our members receiving care."
An average of 20 patients attend the club each week.
