A rising star from York described as "the next Sam Fender" is preparing for his biggest headline show yet.
Frankie Dobson, a 24-year-old singer-songwriter on the Yorkshire music scene, will perform at The Crescent in York this November.
The Anglo-Indian artist has steadily built a following on the Yorkshire music scene, and early signs suggest the upcoming show may sell out.
Leon Banks, Mr Dobson’s manager, said: "Frankie draws inspiration from artists like The Raconteurs, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Sam Fender, and The Vaccines, to name a few.
"We might just have the next Sam Fender on our hands, he's that talented."
Mr Dobson first made an impression with a packed-out solo show at the Isle of Wight Festival and has since played a series of smaller headline gigs.
He has also supported established acts including Jake Bugg, Kyle Faulkner of The View, and Tom Clarke of The Enemy.
Later this month, he will support Shed Seven in Manchester.
His Crescent show will take place on Friday, November 27.
Standing tickets are priced at £7.50 in advance, plus a booking fee, and are available directly from the venue.
