Emergency services were called to a crash on the A1(M) where a vehicle ended up on its side last night (Tuesday).
It happened on the southbound carriageway between junction 50, the Baldersby Interchange, and junction 51, Leeming Bar.
Fire crews from Bedale, Northallerton and Ripon went to the incident.

A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Crews arrived on scene to a vehicle resting on its side in the hard shoulder.
“Both casualties were in the care of ambulance crews being assessed.
“Crews carried out scene safety only, by removing and isolating the vehicle batteries and isolating the gas.
“Crews used small tools and a thermal imaging camera to monitor the temperature of the vehicle and batteries.”
