A brand new World Duty Free store has officially opened its doors.

The store is part of Leeds Bradford Airport’s over £100m terminal regeneration project, LBA:REGEN, and is now twice the size of the previous shop, offering a wider selection of travel essentials, gifts, and exciting new brands.

It features an expanded product range and introduces Charlotte Tilbury to the airport for the first time.

The store opening follows the recent launch of the airport’s terminal extension, which brings improved passenger amenities.

A spokesperson for Leeds Bradford Airport said: "Whether you're picking up travel essentials, gifts or a holiday treat, there's now even more to discover before you fly!"

The terminal extension is part of LBA:REGEN, a major investment to upgrade the airport’s facilities and improve the passenger experience.

The project includes a modernised arrivals process, a new baggage reclaim area, and upgraded passport control with advanced security technologies.

There is also a 38 per cent increase in floorspace, a 76 per cent boost in retail space, and 83 per cent more seating.

The airport has also introduced a wider selection of food and drink options and a panoramic view of the runway.

Passengers can access the upgraded facilities by following the corridor at Gate 5.

The airport spokesperson said: "All passengers arriving and departing via LBA can now benefit from the upgraded terminal facilities."
