A Bradford road planing company has celebrated a milestone after removing and recycling 500,000 tonnes of material in just eight months while working on projects across the length of the UK.

Jet Plant Hire, which has bases in Bradford, Evesham and Newton Abbot, achieved the target, covering 2.4 million miles on road projects from the North of Scotland to Devon and Cornwall.

Jet Plant Hire managing director Sean Witheford said: "I’m incredibly proud of our dedicated teams both at our bases and on the road working on projects across the UK, day and night.

"These figures clearly show the impact we’re having, with a range of projects for our customers.

"It also follows our encouraging recent NPS Score, which is a great marker of the quality of work that we’re doing."

The company recycles 100 per cent of the road planings it removes, supporting its long-term focus on sustainability.

Jet Plant Hire was recently named a 2025 ESG Innovator by Avetta and has also secured ISO 14064-1:2018 aligned accreditation following independent verification of its 2024-25 greenhouse gas inventory.

Mr Witheford said: "Sustainability has long been at the heart of the company’s operations."
