A new musical is set to bring the industrial past to life on stage in Saltaire.
Salt the Musical will be performed in concert form at Victoria Hall, with shows at 2pm and 7pm on Saturday, October 17.
The performance comes just ahead of the 150th anniversary of the death of Sir Titus Salt, who died in December 1876.
Written and composed by Saltaire resident Maria Mullin, founder of The Great Yorkshire Chorus, the show tells the story of Sir Titus Salt.
It follows his journey from a wool sorter in 1820s Bradford to the founder of Saltaire.
Ms Mullin said: "Salt the Musical is based on the extraordinary true story of Titus Salt, set against the backdrop of the Industrial Revolution in Bradford, a time of huge social changes that will resonate with audiences today.
"As a local to Saltaire, I am so thrilled that we can bring the story of Saltaire to life.
"This is an amazing part of Yorkshire history: poverty, anarchy, hope, vision, the greatest mill in the world, and of course, alpacas."
Directed by Anita Adams and presented by Show Ready, the production features a cast of 25 and a score of 26 musical numbers.
Tickets are £20 and available from TicketSource.
