A restaurant in Bradford has received national recognition at this year’s Curry Life Awards.
Lala The Restaurant was named winner of the Editor’s Choice award at the 2026 ceremony, which celebrates excellence in Britain’s curry industry.
The restaurant was honoured for its Kashmiri family cooking, modern presentation, and warm hospitality.
Junior Rashid, owner of Lala The Restaurant, said: "Our customers love traditional South Asian food, but they also expect a modern and memorable experience.
"It is not only about serving a meal.
"Customers remember how they were welcomed, how they were treated, and how they felt while they were with us.
"Bringing a Curry Life Award back to Yorkshire is something very special.
"It belongs to our team and customers."

The restaurant’s menu blends homestyle cooking with contemporary flair and includes dishes such as meat and okra, paya nihari, and its signature chicken and keema mixed karahi.
The Curry Life Awards took place on Sunday, October 4, at the InterContinental London Park Lane, with 41 awards presented to winners from across the country.
Winners were selected through a combination of public votes and a rigorous judging process.
The awards are organised by Curry Life magazine, part of the Curry Life Media Group.
