A new Pan-Asian restaurant and cocktail bar is set to open in Yarm High Street later this month.
Popular Thai restaurant Little Lotus has announced it will be rebranding to the Lotus Lounge and moving into the Tomahawk Steakhouse restaurant in the town.
The firm, run by siblings Charlie and Sadie Eggleston, had been based at the Sunningdale shops in Eaglescliffe since October 2024 but closed in August ahead of a teased relocation.
Work is already underway on transforming the space into the new-look Pan-Asian restaurant, which will have a menu influenced by Thai, Cantonese and Japanese dishes.
It will be located in the downstairs Tomahawk restaurant, with the steak chain moving upstairs and fusing its menu with popular Spanish food spot La Terraza

The original Lotus Lounge first opened in Yarm in July 2012 and was headed up by Tomahawk boss Howard Eggleston, Charlie and Sadie’s father.
It ran for several years before gradually being changed into a full Tomahawk restaurant, and last October, La Terraza took over the first floor of the Fairfax Court venue.
Tomahawk will be available upstairs until October 11 before the venue shuts to merge, reopening as both Tomahawk and La Terraza from October 19.

Lotus Lounge will open later this month.
The owners said: “We're going back to where it all began… Lotus Lounge is taking over Tomahawk Yarm from this October!
“We're excited to be going back to our roots and bringing Lotus Lounge home to Yarm.
“Expect a Pan-Asian restaurant and cocktail bar offering Thai, Cantonese and Japanese influences, with a late-night licence until 2am.

“But Tomahawk is not going anywhere… it will be coming to La Terraza as they move upstairs to create a combined menu.
“The menu will feature La Terraza’s Spanish-inspired food and atmosphere with Tomahawk’s premium steaks and signature cuts.
