Historic Newton Aycliffe hotel praised by guests for spa, food and stunning grounds

The historic hotel, set in 26 acres of landscaped grounds, attracts visitors seeking spa breaks, weddings and countryside escapes.

Redworth Hall Hotel, near Newton Aycliffe, is a four-star Jacobean country house dating back to 1693.

The Grade II-listed manor combines original period features with modern facilities, including 143 bedrooms, a spa and leisure club, restaurant, event spaces and wedding venues.

The Retreat Spa offers ESPA massages, facials and other treatments designed to help guests unwind.

The leisure club also has a swimming pool, Jacuzzi, sauna and steam room.
