Ghost hunters are being recruited to tackle an outbreak of paranormal activity at one of York's oldest buildings.
Barley Hall in York, which dates back to about 1360, is planning to host a week of spooky events during the October half-term, from October 24 to 31.
Among the highlights will be ghost-hunting experiences for children and after-dark storytelling sessions for adults.

Mark Jackson, the 'severed-head' of operations at Barley Hall, said: "We will be bringing in paranormal experts, but frankly, there are so many ghosts at Barley Hall that we're going to need some assistance, so we will be recruiting Ghost Hunters (Junior Grade) throughout the week to help us out.
"Children are often able to see things that adults cannot, so our recruits just need to be a minimum of six years old, brave and ready for anything."

The Haunted Hall: Ghost Hunters sessions will include 45 minutes of on-the-job training and hands-on ghost hunting using special equipment.
Each child must be accompanied by an adult. Tickets cost £15 per child and £5.50 per adult.
Training begins at 10am daily, with ghost-hunting cohorts setting off at 10am, 11am, 12 noon, 1.30pm, 2.30pm, and 3.30pm.
While children take on the ghosts by day, the evenings are reserved for adult-only events.
On October 30 and 31, Barley Hall will host Haunted Hall: Dark Tales, a storytelling experience for those aged 18 and over.
Led by professional storyteller Edwyrdian Tales, the sessions will explore the darker chapters of the hall’s 600-year history, including its time as a residence for monks, merchants, and mayors.
Tickets for Dark Tales are £20 per adult, with the option to add a welcome drink for £5.
Tours will take place at 7pm and 8.30pm, each lasting around an hour.
