A market is offering second-hand and vintage fabric and craft supplies to help reduce waste.
Tadcrafters, a community interest company, is holding its first De-Stash Market in Tadcaster.
The event provides affordable surplus fabric, haberdashery, knitting yarn, patterns, books, and more.
It will be held at The Barn from 11am to 3pm on Sunday, October 11, shortly after World Circular Textiles Day on October 8.
The market aims to highlight the group's commitment to textile reuse, repair, and sustainable creativity.
Tadcrafters, known for transforming surplus materials into items for worthy causes, supports the circular economy by keeping quality materials in use.
Su Morgan, director of Tadcrafters CIC, said: "People put around half of all used textiles in the bin every year, that’s on average 35 items per person in the UK.
"Crafters with knitting, sewing and mending skills are key to helping to change habits and reduce this level of waste."
Stallholders at the event enjoy sharing items that inspire creativity.
Visitors can expect a friendly atmosphere where creativity, sustainability, and local volunteering support a greener future for textiles.
The event has a £1 entrance fee, and many stalls are cash-only.
