A climate event is set to take place next week in York.

The National Emergency Briefing, a 45-minute short film fronted by Chris Packham, will be screened at Huntington School on Wednesday, October 14, at 7pm.

The film explores the impacts of climate change on weather patterns, health, food security, and national security, and offers practical steps individuals can take.

Reverend Chris Park of All Saints and St Andrews Church Huntington said: "The local Anglican Churches were invited to show the National Emergency Briefing because of God's deep love for the world He created, and it struck me that since the effects of climate change will have a greater impact on the younger generation, it would be good to work with one of the local schools with a sixth form to show the film."

Rev Park has partnered with staff from Huntington Secondary School to organise the screening.

Attendees must be aged 16 or older.
