Jeremy Clarkson has caught a "dogger" in the woods near his Diddly Squat Farm in Oxfordshire.

The former Top Gear presenter, who lives in Oxfordshire, has recounted the unusual encounter in his column for The Times.

He has revealed that he initially suspected he had stumbled across fly-tippers before discovering what was really going on.

Writing about the incident, Jeremy Clarkson said: "We like to think this is mostly the preserve of suburban housewives in home country pampas places like Beaconsfield, but in the not too distant past, the car park at my remote Cotswolds pub was a hot spot as well. It’s even happened, on a smaller scale, on my farm."

Mr Clarkson said he was driving home from a local pub one evening when he noticed a "suspicious-looking" car parked near a wooded area on his farm.

According to his account, he quietly approached the vehicle and discovered a young man inside.

The teenager soon realised who was watching him and reportedly exclaimed: "Oh my God, you’re Jeremy Clarkson. I rather wish we had met in different circumstances."

Mr Clarkson joked that it was one of the best lines he had ever heard.

The incident comes after the broadcaster previously revealed that his Oxfordshire pub, The Farmer's Dog, was built on the site of a former dogging hotspot.

In July 2024, the 66-year-old shared a video on Instagram showing himself holding up a pair of discarded women's underwear with a stick.

In the clip, he told followers: "Tell me you bought a pub on a dogging site without telling me you bought a pub on a dogging site."

The video quickly attracted thousands of reactions from fans, many of whom saw the funny side of the discovery.

The Farmer's Dog, near Burford, has become a popular destination for visitors since Mr Clarkson purchased and transformed the venue.
