Van taken away after fly-tipping incident in Bradford neighbourhood

A white van linked to a fly-tipping incident has been seized.

A vehicle linked to a fly-tipping incident has been seized by Bradford Council.

The van was taken away in Fairweather Green after mattresses were illegally dumped on the highway.

CCTV footage helped the council's environmental enforcement team trace the vehicle, which was seized with support from West Yorkshire Police.

Councillor Ian Walker, portfolio holder for neighbourhoods and communities, said: "This enforcement action demonstrates our continued commitment to investigating fly-tipping offences and holding those responsible accountable.

"Fly-tipping can have a significant impact on neighbourhoods and generates clean-up costs for taxpayers."

Bradford Council continues to urge residents to report fly-tipping and to use only authorised waste carriers and disposal facilities.
