A North East entertainment venue is giving hundreds of students free food as it launches a membership scheme offering discounts, prizes and exclusive deals.

St James’ STACK in Newcastle has launched STACK Society, a student-only scheme offering deals all year.

The first 200 students through the doors after 11am tomorrow (October 6) will get a free-food voucher valid at any of the venue’s street-food traders.

Chels Morton, marketing manager for sports and events at STACK, said: "We want to welcome all the new students to the city and those who are returning.

"And what better way to do that than with a range of special events and offers – and the launch of our exciting new STACK Society which will allow them to enjoy incredible offers throughout the year."

Students can register at buytickets.at/stjamesstack/2391688 and spin the STACK wheel for a chance to win free merchandise.

STACK Society members will be entered into a prize draw to win an NUFC stadium tour and a home shirt.

The scheme offers Sunday-to-Thursday deals including two-for-one cocktails and large pizzas from ZZA Pizzeria for £5.
