Refurbished Harrogate school library will 'strengthen links with the wider community'

A Harrogate school community is coming together this week for the opening of their newly refurbished school library.

Pupils, staff, volunteers, and supporters who have helped make the project at Starbeck Primary Academy possible will all be there to see first-hand how the new space will support literacy and learning for years to come.

The official opening at the school on the High Street in Starbeck on Wednesday, October 7 has been welcomed by Kris Starkey, English Leader/Senior Leader at Starbeck Primary Academy.

"This exciting project has transformed our library into a vibrant and inspiring learning space designed to foster a lifelong love of reading,” he said.

"The new library will not only benefit our pupils but will also strengthen links with the wider Starbeck community through future reading events, family activities, and community partnerships.”
