Country hotel near Ripon is to welcome Wayne Rooney for 'in person' event

A leading hotel near Ripon and Harrogate renowned for its five-star experience is hosting one of England’s greatest ever footballers.

Since it was successfully transformed seven years ago from a historic private home into an award-winning country retreat by owner Valeria Sykes, Grantley Hall has become synonymous with luxury, high standards, top awards and celebrity guests.

Taking place on Thursday, October 15, football fans will have the opportunity to spend an evening in the company of one of England’s most celebrated players, Wayne Rooney, as he shares stories from his extraordinary career.

Manchester United’s all-time leading goal scorer with 253 goals, Rooney won 120 caps for the England national team, as well as five Premier League titles and the UEFA Champions League. between 2002 and 2021.

One other important piece of information for fans, tickets cost from £375 per person.

Other events coming up at Grantley Hall, which was built in the Palladian style in 1680 on the edge of the beautiful Yorkshire Dales, include its annual Halloween House Party.

Taking place on Saturday, October 31, the spectacular Halloween celebration will return for a luxurious night of immersive theatrics, imaginative cocktails, live entertainment and music and champagne.
