Popular Yorkshire venue marks 25 years in business, with a milestone ‘best restaurant’ award – and there’s a discount code for every reader to help celebrate the win.
The Orchid has been a firm favourite in Harrogate for quarter of a century, and now it has an official accolade to add to its good reputation.
Now this Pan-Asian restaurant has just been named Best Restaurant at the Harrogate Business Awards, run by the Harrogate Advertiser, which has delighted the entire team. Best of all, they won on the basis of a public vote, making it extra special.
A spokesman said: “This year is already incredibly special for The Orchid as we celebrate 25 years in Harrogate — a quarter of a century of welcoming guests through our doors. To mark that milestone by being named Best Restaurant at the Harrogate Business Awards is something we are enormously proud of.
“What makes the award particularly meaningful is that it was decided by public vote, and to receive 42% of the votes means so much to all of us. We were thrilled simply to be nominated alongside such fantastic independent restaurants in Harrogate, so to win is a wonderful honour.”
And while customers love the food and the front of house service, there’s a host of backroom staff who help make the magic happen.
The Orchid spokesman added: “This award belongs to our whole team, past and present, and to the families behind them who have supported us throughout the years. Most importantly, it belongs to our guests. Their loyalty has allowed The Orchid to remain part of Harrogate for 25 years, and we never take that support for granted.”
