RESIDENTS in Addingham will have a new opportunity to speak directly with local police officers thanks to the launch of a regular police contact point at the village's Co-op store.
The new service will begin on October 11, 2026, and will take place from 10am to noon at the Co-op, 162 Main Street, Addingham.
Following the launch, the contact point will be held on every third Sunday of the month.
Police contact points provide an informal setting where local residents can meet neighbourhood policing officers or Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs) to discuss issues affecting their community.
Visitors can raise concerns, report local problems, seek crime prevention advice and learn more about neighbourhood policing priorities.
The sessions are designed to help officers stay informed about issues that matter to residents while giving the public an accessible way to engage directly with their local policing team.
No appointment is necessary and residents are welcome to drop in during the session.
