Officers dealt with 82 road traffic offences in Craven during a police crackdown.

Operation RIDGE targeted speeding and anti-social driving across Craven on September 27 after residents raised concerns.

Officers recorded 82 road traffic offences during the operation, which included proactive enforcement in Cowling and Cross Hills.

A spokesman for the Craven Neighbourhood Policing Team said: "Road safety remains a priority for North Yorkshire Police.

"Operations such as RIDGE demonstrate our commitment to listening to the concerns of local residents and taking positive action to address them.

"Speeding and anti-social driving are not victimless offences.

"Together, we can make our roads safer and our communities stronger."

The operation brought together policing and road-safety partners to tackle issues affecting local communities.
