Drivers are still facing delays on the M62 this morning despite an earlier crash being cleared and all lanes reopening.

The incident affected the eastbound carriageway between J25 at Brighouse and J26 at Chain Bar, with recovery work now completed.

Crash cleared

Traffic monitoring service Inrix reported that all lanes had reopened following the earlier collision.

The crash was first reported shortly before 6am on Monday morning. Recovery crews later attended the scene and, once the incident had been cleared, all lanes were reopened and traffic released.

Congestion remains

Although the motorway is fully open, traffic maps continue to show congestion on parts of the M62 and surrounding routes as commuters make their way through the morning rush hour.

Motorists travelling towards Leeds and Bradford are being advised to allow extra time for their journeys while traffic conditions continue to improve.
